Graduation Frequently Asked Questions

SENIORS: Seniors should report to the cafeteria at 6:00 PM. wearing their cap & gown. Please do not arrive prior to 6:00 PM. Seniors cannot leave anything in the cafeteria so arrange to have car keys, cell phones, etc. left with a parent or friend! PARENTS: PARKING LOT will open at 5:30 PM. GYM DOORS WILL OPEN AT 6:00 PM. Doors will close at 7:20 PM. NO ONE arriving after 7:20 PM. will be allowed in! Cafeteria will be open for the overflow at 6:00pm. Must be 14 or older or with an adult. Children cannot just be dropped off.
Each graduate will receive 6 tickets. Even children and babies will need a ticket. We remind everyone that for many of our seniors, this will be the most important night of their life and the ONLY time they will receive their high school diploma and hear their name called out in front of 2,000 people.

We do not have any extra tickets, but you may network with other graduates if you need more tickets.

Alumni Walks: You are invited to participate in an alumni walk wearing your C&G & regalia at your local elementary school in May (if you attended LPES, WES, or BES). You must sign up using the link that Mrs. Stewart emailed you.
- LPES: Tuesday, 5/27 @ 1:15 PM
- BES: Friday, 5/23 @ 1:00 PM
- WES: Friday, 5/23 @ 12:00 PM
May 27th-May 29th: Senior Practice for Graduation in the gym from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Order Your Cap & Gown

At South Sumter High School, we want to ensure that all our graduates are ready for their special day. To facilitate this, we have arranged for an online graduation cap and gown ordering system. Graduates and their families can conveniently place orders by visiting Jostens. Please note that all payments must be made directly through the vendor, as South Sumter High School is unable to accept any payment forms. We encourage everyone to place their orders promptly to ensure a smooth and joyful graduation experience.
