South Sumter High School Improvement Plan
At South Sumter High School, we believe every student can learn and succeed. Our 2025–2026 School Improvement Plan focuses on creating a positive learning environment, increasing academic achievement, and strengthening family engagement.
Key Goals:
- Attendance: Increase to 92% (up from 90.07% in 2025) with continued PBIS incentives.
- Academic Achievement:
- ELA & Math: Improve proficiency and learning gains across all subgroups.
- Science & Social Studies: Targeted increases in Biology and US History EOC scores.
- Subgroups (ELL & SWD): Focused support through READ 180, IXL, Study Island, and Raider Time interventions.
- Family Engagement: Monthly newsletters, Parent Square updates, and Title I events.
2026 Performance Targets:
- ELA: 62% proficiency, 55% learning gains.
- Math: 57% proficiency, 50% learning gains.
- Biology: 78% proficiency.
- US History: 67% proficiency.
